Eucharistic Ministers

An “Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion” is a Catholic lay person who assists in the distribution of Holy Communion, either during the Mass, or afterwards, such as to housebound persons. Lectors

In the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church, the term “lector” or “reader” can mean someone who in a particular liturgy is assigned to read a Biblical text other than the Gospel. If you are interested in joining our Lectors, please contact: Paul Alabi (917- 519-7874) for the English Mass, Ilda Canton (914-879-9807) for the Portuguese Mass, or Costanza Silva (646-474-7339) for the Spanish Mass.

 

 

Ushers

Ushers are called to be Ministers of Hospitality. They are entrusted with promoting a sense of welcoming and belonging to all the faithful assembled for worship. If you are interested in joining our Ushers, please contact: Floriberto Valencia (347-665-8600) for the Spanish Mass.

 

Altar Servers

An altar server is a lay assistant to a member of the clergy during a Christian liturgy. An altar server attends to supporting tasks at the altar such as fetching and carrying, ringing the altar bell, among other things. If you are interested on becoming an Altar Sever, please contact: Paul Alabi (917- 519-7874).
